Use of Mobile for Net Access

One in every 11 Indians is accessing the Internet through a mobile phone. According to United Kingdom-based Bango PLC, India is the 4th country with largest population using mobiles to get data from cyberspace. The agency, which studied mobile use in more than 190 countries, found out that the United Kingdom had the largest number of people accessing the Net through mobiles.

The United States came next and was followed by South Africa. Indians made up 9% of the people browsing the Net using mobile phones. Bango said that in a couple of years mobile phone use in India would be greater than that of Europe.
