JAVA based Mobile Operating System

Sun Microsystems has come up with a mobile phone prototype with help of new software- JavaFX Mobile. This mobile phone software system is available to carriers, content owners and consumer electronics manufacturers, could help to reduce the costs of creating rich, mobile Internet devices.

While designing mobile applications, Its difficult to predict what devices or platforms customers will be using. With JavaFX, you don't have to. Applications built with JavaFX can run on a wide range of Java-enabled devices, and content providers can add them to their devices quickly.
