HAVA

HAVA- the world's first integrated video 'time-shifting' and 'place-shifting' product. HAVA is one of the seven innovations selected by Nasscom for recognition by the Prime Minister, at the recently held Nasscom Innovation awards in Mumbai.

It sits in your entertainment centre where you would plug any video source (set-top box, cable, Tivo, DVD player, video camera) into the unit then stream DVD quality (MPEG2) video wirelessly to multiple WiFi clients (notebooks, PC's, cell phone) simultaneously over your standard 802.11g wireless network.

Time-shifting allows you to pause, rewind, fast forward and record any TV program wirelessly. Place-shifting allows a traveller with access to the internet to view, watch and control their TV from anywhere in the world. It is probably the first global consumer electronics product to come out of an Indian company and perhaps one of the most exciting technologies for device manufacturers bringing TV (or video) to their device anytime, anywhere.
